CABIN 2011
Anticipation has been building that last few weeks as I prepared for our annual trip to the Webb cabin. This year marks my 19 year in attendance. Chad and Brock would accompany me this year. Jason would not be able to attend for the second year in a row. Let’s hope that this is his last year not to attend.
I woke up to a rainy dreary day. I drove in rain for that first 2 ½ hours.
Just North of Effingham, mother nature hit and I had to make a pit stop. As I pulled into the rest stop, I noticed this trike with a rather neat trailer.
Whenever I go to the cabin, it usually takes me a while to relax on the trip. When we get to this spot south of Effingham, I know that I am in the South.
I stopped in Harrisburg to take Myrtle out to lunch. After lunch, we went for a drive and came across this cows with a white stripe.
I thought these donkeys were cute.
The cutest thing that we came across on our ride was this calf with a heart on its side.
After taking Myrtle back home, I proceeded on to the cabin. This was one of the first signs of hills.
I got to the cabin before the boys and got most of my things unloaded. It was late in the day when they arrived. This is a picture of Brock on the porch calling home.
It didn’t take long for the boys fall in the sack. Note how light it is outside. A peaceful ending to our first day.
